The Ford Mustang is one of the most iconic cars of all time and, when introduced in 1964, set the bar for all American sports cars to come. It was lightweight, nimble and boasted looks from the future, going on to be featured in numerous films and TV shows only further cementing its status.
Symbolising American cool, the Ford Mustang is one of the most lauded cars to ever come out of the USA. Released in the mid ‘60s, the Mustang really had no competitors at the time - it was in a class all its own and left rival carmakers GM and Chrysler in the lurch as to how to respond.
With classic muscle car looks and big performance from its 4.7-litre V8 engine, the Ford Mustang is the American Dream of automobiles. This particular model hails from 1966, and benefits from an uprated engine with Ford GT40 aluminium heads and roller rockers and an Edelbrook intake manifold, as well as an improved gearbox with the addition of a limited slip differential.
Extensively restored, it’s presented in Raven Black and features additions including low profile, white wall tyres, a digital speedometer and a right hand drive conversion. It may not be the most original example you’ll find, but the modifications are subtle enough and allow the car’s iconic silhouette to shine.
