Seeing as a good deal of summer stuff has landed – we thought it was about time we pulled together some of our favourite new arrivals and a few items that you probably haven’t yet considered, but they will almost definitely help you along the way, in one easy-to-digest edit. We’ve timed it miraculously well with the new men’s drop from YMC – filled with the usual easy-to-wear silhouettes and incredible textures – that is steeped in graphics and details in reference to Latin America. These touches include hand-woven Guatemalan rainbow taping across YMC’s jersey shorts, hoodies and t-shirts and a wave Ikat design that adorn key wardrobe staples.

YMC Tan Turf Bomber Jacket
First of all, the Turf Bomber Jacket caught our eye because it pleasingly treads the hazy line between smart and casual. With its classic ribbed collar and cuff which gives the jacket a more refined, tailored fit, the Turf Jacket comes with all the familiar trappings of a bomber – a slightly oversized silhouette, front pockets and horn buttons – but it also manages to look incredibly unique with its restrained colour palette and premium suede fabric.

YMC Brown Bootboy Grandad Shirt
As mentioned, the new YMC collection takes inspiration from the freedom and expression that empowered the Chicano movement of 1940s California. And those inspirations are served up most impressively in the Bootboy – a uniquely YMC take on a Grandad shirt constructed from a lightweight button from a striking Ikat wave pattern with an understated Corozo button fastening.

YMC Navy Dean Shirt
This understated cotton slub adaptation of the long-term YMC favourite, the Dean shirt, returns, rightfully so, for summer. This season, it's lightweight, has that nice relaxed button-down collar, a comfortably relaxed fit and a simple patch pocket on the chest to boot. Plus, in accordance with the free and easy aesthetic that YMC has become so known for, the Dean Shirt is constructed from a textured slub cotton and a relaxed navy stripe design which will be easy to wear in the depths of winter as it will in the height of summer.

YMC Khaki Tally Ho Coat
Not your usual summer pick this, by no means, but it’s one we couldn’t resist either way. The YMC Tally Ho Coat – the name itself is good enough reason to include it – is incredibly durable thanks to its structured cotton twill construction but also incredibly lightweight which makes it ideal for spring evenings, summer nights or even festivals. It’s full of intuitive design features too. Including the sharp cut baseball style collar, Bellow patch pockets with a neat double button closure, comfortable back hem vent, oversized elbow patches, raglan sleeves and a concealed front placket. Also, because of its understated khaki colour hue, it will brighten up a whole host of colours in your summer wardrobe namely whites, blacks, reds, green, blues and everything in between.

YMC Black Simon Sunglasses
YMC has got so good at equipping us for summer that they now also specialise in every type of sunglasses you’ll ever possibly want or need. Our pick is the Simon, a modern take on the classic Wayfarer silhouette will not only suit a wide variety of face shapes but will also be a reliable pair of sunglasses to steer you through many summers thanks to its timeless aesthetic and its high-quality construction. Which means, as long as you don’t lose them, which always seems to happen towards the end of summer, these YMC sunglasses will see you through a number of holidays. Plus, the Simon comes in a whole host of colours – including classic Black, Olive and Tortoise.
